Fitness Recipe: Breakfast Couscous Pudding with Apple and Quark

What should a breakfast look like that pleases your taste buds and reliably satiates? How about trying this couscous pudding. The great thing about it is that you can prepare it ahead of time, so you can just put it on a plate in the morning or heat it up in the microwave and eat it straight away. The combination of quark, apple, cinnamon, and nuts will make the start to your day so much better.

Method:

Start by coarsely grating the apples. Mix them with cinnamon and let them sit for five minutes to release any excess juice. In a bowl, pour hot milk over the couscous and cover with a lid to let it absorb milk.

In another bowl, whisk the quark with the eggs, vanilla flavour drops and protein

Add couscous to the quark mixture and flavour with vanilla flavour drops. Next, take a baking dish and line it with baking paper or spray it with oil. Spread half of the quark cheese and couscous mixture on the bottom. Place the apples evenly on top (squeeze the juice out of them with your hands beforehand and set it aside).

Cover the apple layer again with the couscous mixture and spread evenly. Place the prepared pudding in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 30–40 minutes. Once done, divide into four servings and serve.

Then just top with maple syrup, nuts or apple slices and serve. The remaining apple juice can be diluted with water. This will make a delicious drink that will go well with the pudding.
