Krill Oil
Krill Oil is obtained from small marine crustaceans called krill. It is high in omega-3 fatty acids with a high content of EPA and DHA in the form of phospholipids. As a result, it has a higher biological value and better absorption than fish oil, and therefore less krill oil is sufficient to ensure the same effects.
Eicosapentaenoic acid EPA and docosahexaenoic DHA contribute to proper heart function, and DHA also promotes brain function and good eyesight. Krill oil also contains carotenoid astaxanthin. It is a red pigment found in, for example, salmon or krill, and is structurally similar to beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A). It is popular mainly due to its positive effects on eye and skin health and protection against oxidative stress.
