We have fallen in love with this traditional foodstuff from South America not only thanks to its rich content of protein, vitamins and minerals, but also for its versatile use in kitchen. This time we enjoyed sweet quinoa for breakfast, and we realized that we simply cannot keep this tasty recipe to ourselves. Try a high-protein recipe for protein chocolate quinoa with banana and Greek yoghurt. Our day has begun perfectly, let’s start yours right, too!
- 200 ml water
- 150 ml milk (plant/cow’s)
- 100 g quinoa
- 1 ripe banana (120 g)
- 1 scoop Just Whey protein in vanilla/chocolate flavour
- 5 g cocoa

Before you start cooking, soak quinoa into cold water for 5-10 minutes to get rid of its bitter taste. Then rinse the water and cook the quinoa till almost soft. Then add milk and let the quinoa steam. Meanwhile, mash the banana into a purée with a fork and add it into the quinoa. Next, add cocoa and protein, mix thoroughly and remove from the flame. You can add more milk, if necessary. Serve the chocolate quinoa still warm with a scoop of Greek yogurt, lyophilized raspberries and banana. Bon appétit!
