Fitness Recipe: High Protein Pasta with Creamy Pea Sauce

Don’t know how to include more legumes in your diet? Then today’s recipe is perfect for you. This time, we decided to prepare a creamy pea sauce and serve it with pea pasta. Therefore, the dish is full of protein and fibre. In addition, however, it will win you over with its delicious taste, which combines soft peas and salty Olomouc cheese. And do you know what’s best? The preparation of the whole meal takes no longer than 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 260 g peas in brine (solids weight)
  • 160 g pea pasta
  • 100 ml skimmed milk
  • 60 g (3 pcs) Olomouc cheese
  • 1 tsp dried garlic
  • a pinch of ground black pepper
  • a pinch of salt
  • herbs for the garnishing, we used garden cress (optional)
  • peas for the garnishing (optional)

Directions:

First, cook the pea pasta according to the instructions on the package. Then start preparing pea sauce. Strain the canned peas to get rid of the brine. You should have about 260 g of solids. Then mix until smooth. Add milk, pepper, salt and dried garlic and mix again. Then take the Olomouc cheese, cut it finely and add to the pea mass.

And you can start serving. Take two plates and evenly distribute the cooked pasta. Then pour pea sauce over pasta, and you can garnish the dish with garden cress or peas.

Our tip: Pea sauce tastes delicious even with classic wheat pasta. However, if you are trying to lose weight, you can also combine it with our ZERO noodles. They are entirely carbohydrate-free and contain only 7 kcal per 100 g.
