Hemp seeds are particularly delicious thanks to their mild nutty flavour, and make for a great addition to both sweet and savoury dishes. You may choose from peeled or unpeeled seeds, which is entirely up to your preference. Both alternatives are rich in healthy fats, mostly polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). These tiny seeds are also rich in easily digestible protein, which is also why they’re used in the production of hemp protein powder, a great source of plant-based proteins suitable for vegans.
Hemp seeds can be used anywhere you deem it suitable to use any other type of seeds. They are delicious in a savoury vegetable salad or blended in a tasty homemade spread. They can be sprinkled over a platter of pasta, risotto or a bowl of creamy soup.

All you need to prepare hemp seed milk is the seeds, water and a blender. It is important to soak up the seeds for a few hours before blending them together with the liquid. If you feel like having something sweet, you can flavour it with some honey, chicory syrup, or any other sweetener of your choice. The last step would be to filter it through a colander or a piece of absorbent cloth.
