Fitness Recipe: Zebra Cheesecake

This dessert quickly became one of our favourites. We love its easy preparation, protein-packed ingredients and great taste. And the way it looks is just the icing on the cake. It’s not hard to conjure up this streaky texture, and with our tutorial, anyone can do it. You’ll see that you’ll enchant your taste buds as well as the sweet tooth of your friends with this delicious treat.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g soft non-fat quark
  • 250 g lumpy non-fat quark
  • 70 ml low fat milk
  • 50 ml maple syrup
  • 20 g cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 banana
  • 1 pack of powdered vanilla custard
  • Vanilla Flavor Drops to taste

Method:

Blend the banana, egg, maple syrup and lumpy quark with a stick blender. Then add the soft quark, custard powder, milk (50 ml) and vanilla Flavor Drops to taste. Mix again thoroughly. Divide this quark cheese mixture into two halves, stir the cocoa into one half and add the remaining 20 ml of milk, both parts should then be about the same consistency.

Then take a cake tin (ours was 20 cm in diameter) and line it with baking paper. Fill it by alternating white and brown quark cheese mixture. Always pour it in the middle to create a zebra effect. Continue in this way until you have used up both quark cheese mixes.

Zebra cheesecake - method

Preheat the oven to 170°C and bake for 45 minutes. Then allow the dessert to cool, cut a big piece from it and enjoy.
