Fitness Recipe: Roasted Cauliflower in Sweet Chilli Sauce

  • 1 cauliflower (approx. 700 g)
  • 20 ml of olive oil
  • 20 g of honey
  • 1 tsp of chilli sauce (Sriracha)
  • 1 tsp of ground sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp of turmeric

First prepare cauliflower – cut off the leaves, wash it and cut it into slices about 1 cm thick (cut out the core first and then break the head into florets). Next, squeeze water out of cauliflower and prepare a marinade in a large bowl. Mix olive oil, honey, hot sauce and all the spices. Add the cauliflower florets to the marinade, making sure each piece is evenly coated. Space out the cauliflower on a baking pan lined with baking paper and lightly sprayed with olive oil so that the florets are not touching. Divide the cauliflower onto two pans so that the florets have enough space. Bake for about 25-30 minutes at 180 °C until golden. Serve as a side dish, or main dish with a yogurt or avocado dip.
