Treat yourself to the sweet taste of autumn in the form of perfectly moist and fragrant apple doughnuts that will completely enchant you with cloves and cinnamon. Thanks to being baked in the oven, they represent an excellent choice with significantly lower fat content than their classic fried version.
For the base, we will need:
- 120 g whole grain spelt flour
- 100 g apple puree
- 70 ml semi-skimmed milk
- 30 g cane sugar
- 20 g vanilla protein
- 20 ml olive oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cloves
To Finish, We Will Need:
- 50 g cane sugar
- 20 g butter (you can also use ghee)
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Instructions:
We start by preparing the batter. Mix flour with sugar, protein, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Then we add apple puree, egg, milk, oil and mix until we have a smooth batter. We fill silicone doughnut moulds with this.

Then we put them in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for 20 minutes. While still warm, we brush the doughnuts with melted butter and roll them in sugar mixed with cinnamon. Then we can serve them warm or cool.
