Omega 3 - GymBeam | GymBeam.com Skip to main content

Real omega-3 starts in a clean ocean. Our fish oil from wild Peruvian anchovies is a natural triglyceride form. It has high oxidative stability and is rich in EPA and DHA, which support your heart function. In two capsules a day it provides up to 360 mg EPA and 240 mg DHA from a quality source. We purify it by molecular distillation, so you will not find unnecessary heavy metals in it. Its freshness and low oxidation are also laboratory documented.

Omega 3 - premium fish oil from wild anchovies with laboratory-documented purity and high oxidative stability

Omega 3 by GymBeam is a premium fish oil from wild Peruvian anchovies, one of the cleanest omega-3 sources in the world, with a naturally high share of EPA and DHA. Two capsules a day provide 360 mg EPA and 240 mg DHA, together 600 mg Omega 3 in a favorable 3 : 2 ratio. Because it is only two capsules a day, you can comfortably cover key fats even during demanding diets, including periods of using GLP-1 medicines.

We purify the fish oil by molecular distillation, which removes heavy metals. The result is a clean oil in the natural triglyceride (TG) form. This is exactly the form your body knows from normal food and can process more efficiently. We also verify freshness in an independent German laboratory, where the measured TOTOX 11.3 value confirms the high oxidative stability of our Omega 3. Thanks to the TG form, fatty acids enter the bloodstream to a greater extent than with the cheaper ethyl ester (EE) form.

What are omega 3 and why are they important?

Omega 3 are healthy fats that the body cannot make on its own in a sufficient amount, so you must get them from food. The three best known are ALA from plant sources such as flaxseeds, and especially EPA and DHA. These come from marine fish and the body can use them directly. EPA and DHA are the forms that matter most and, at the same time, the ones we usually have too little of in a normal diet. The easiest way to cover them regularly is a quality fish oil.

EPA and DHA are part of cell membranes throughout the body and contribute to normal heart function.¹ Their beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA. With our Omega 3, you therefore receive more than twice this amount. We have also added vitamin E, which protects the oil from oxidation. Authorities such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association also recommend regular EPA and DHA intake as part of a healthy diet, especially in relation to heart and vascular health.⁴

Why GymBeam Omega 3 and not just any fish oil?

The quality of fish oil cannot be judged by eye or smell. Three things decide it: source, purification method and freshness. At GymBeam, we have all three under control.

Clean oil from a clean source

Our Omega 3 comes from oil from wild Peruvian anchovies (Engraulis ringens), one of the cleanest omega-3 sources in the world. The coast of Peru is washed by the cold Humboldt Current, which brings huge amounts of nutrients up from the depths and creates an ecosystem exceptionally rich in plankton, which the anchovies feed on. Thanks to this diet, they naturally have a high share of EPA and DHA.

Because these are small, short-lived fish at the beginning of the food chain, unlike large predatory fish they do not have time to accumulate heavy metals or other toxins. The crude oil also meets the international IFOS standard for purity, potency and freshness. The fishing itself is part of one of the most strictly regulated systems in the world. The IMARPE institute monitors stocks and sets quotas, which are immediately reduced during the El Niño climate phenomenon so the source remains sustainable.

Molecular distillation for maximum purity

The oil undergoes molecular distillation, which removes impurities and heavy metals while leaving the natural form of fatty acids intact. Independent tests confirm the zero-tolerance policy for mercury, cadmium and lead, and you can find them in the laboratory tests section. The same tests also document microbiological safety and freshness measured by the TOTOX index. Added vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and further protects the oil.

Freshness that we document with data

Fish oil freshness is measured by the TOTOX value, the total measure of oxidation. The quality industry standard recommended by GOED (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s) is 26.³ The whole industry uses it as a guide. Our oil reaches a value of TOTOX 11.3, less than half of this limit. We do not list the TOTOX value on the website only as a number; it is genuinely documented and confirmed by laboratory testing.

Natural TG form instead of synthetics

We supply the oil in the natural triglyceride (TG) form, exactly the form in which fats are normally found in food. Many cheaper oils are synthetic ethyl esters, which are absorbed less well. Your body therefore gets the maximum from every GymBeam Omega 3 capsule.

Storage without loss of quality

Thanks to the natural TG form and added vitamin E, our oil has high oxidative stability, so normal storage in a cool, dry place away from direct sun is sufficient. If you want to preserve freshness for as long as possible, omega-3 is generally recommended to be kept in the refrigerator, especially after opening the package.

Why GymBeam Omega 3 and not just any fish oil?
How it works when you start taking GymBeam Omega 3

Omega 3 is not a fast switch like protein after training. EPA and DHA are gradually built into cell membranes, so you will not feel a difference in an hour, but over weeks.

  • Immediately after use fish oil is processed in the digestive tract and EPA with DHA pass into the blood. Vitamin E plays the role of an antioxidant.
  • Over 2 to 4 weeks of regular intake, EPA and DHA are incorporated directly into cell membranes. The level of saturation is measured by the so-called Omega 3 index.²
  • Long term the membranes remain stably saturated and EPA with DHA contribute to normal heart function.¹

Why the Omega-3 index is important

With Omega 3, it is therefore not about timing around training, but about regularity. EPA and DHA must be gradually incorporated into membranes, which takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks of consistent use. The higher your Omega-3 index is, the better saturated the membranes are. That is why it makes sense to take Omega 3 every day, not occasionally.

Who Omega-3 is intended for

  • Active people and athletes. Omega 3 is a popular part of nutrition during high training loads.
  • Students, managers and people with high mental demands. The brain is made mostly of fat and DHA is its main structural component. Regular DHA intake helps maintain its supply in the body even during demanding periods.
  • Anyone who does not eat fatty sea fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines) at least 2 to 3 times a week. It is the most practical and cleanest way to cover EPA and DHA intake without the risk of heavy metals.
  • People who care about heart health and longevity. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function¹ and are a popular choice for caring for the heart and blood vessels.
  • People on demanding diets, including when using GLP-1 medicines. In a significant calorie deficit, it is hard to get enough healthy fats from normal food. Two capsules supplement this intake without extra calories.
  • The 50+ generation. Omega 3 is a suitable part of the diet at an older age, and EPA with DHA contribute to normal heart function.¹
