For winter, we have added orange juice and authentic Christmas spices—cinnamon, cloves and star anise—to our classic shot recipe. The orange softens the sharpness of the ginger, while the spices add the distinctive flavour familiar from Christmas baked goods and punches. The entire shot is produced locally in Slovakia and bottled in 50 ml glass bottles. Thanks to gentle pasteurisation, it keeps for up to a year at room temperature, so it does not need to be refrigerated before opening.

The characteristic spiciness of fresh ginger comes from a compound called gingerol. When heated, it converts into the related compound shogaol, which is even more pungent, so the shot retains its kick even if you mix it with hot water. To preserve its fresh flavour, however, we do not roast or boil the ginger; instead, we cold-press it. Finally, we pasteurise the shot only briefly.
The invigorating combination of ginger and citrus fruits will instantly warm you up and prepare you for frosty mornings without the need to reach for coffee.
If you would like to avoid alcohol and overly sweet soft drinks at Christmas gatherings or parties, this shot offers a satisfying taste experience.
Thanks to its compact packaging and shelf life at room temperature, you can always keep the bottle in your bag, in your car, or on your desk at work.
- Ginger juice (50%): Cold-pressed, with a distinctive spicy flavour thanks to its natural gingerol content. (The 50% proportion was chosen deliberately to make room for orange juice and spices, creating the perfect balance of flavours.)
- Honey (20%): The only sweetener in the recipe. It softens the heat of the ginger and brings together the citrus and spice flavours.
- Orange juice (20%) and lemon juice (10%): The citrus base provides natural sweetness, refreshing acidity and the aroma of winter fruit.
- Cinnamon, cloves and star anise: An iconic trio of Christmas spices that gives the shot a warming finish.
- Natural starches and spices: Fresh ginger root contains starch, which naturally settles at the bottom of the bottle over time. Fine spice particles settle along with it.
- A sign of quality: The layer of sediment indicates that the shot is made from freshly pressed ginger and real spices, rather than concentrate or flavored powder.
