Beta Alanine – a functional supplement that is suitable before demanding strength or endurance training 

Beta Alanine contains a non-essential amino acid of the same name, which is commonly used by athletes before training. The body then transforms this amino acid into carnosine, which in turn helps regulate lactic acidosis in muscles by binding to hydrogen ions derived from lactic acid. This allows it to take care of athletic performance.  

It's therefore no surprise that athletes with highly intensive workouts, such as sprinters, crossfitters, strength athletes, and those practising HIIT, often focus on beta-alanine intake before training. That said, endurance athletes, such as runners or cyclists who train in hilly and challenging terrains, can also benefit from its properties.
