Green Mist Natural Solid Deodorant is a balm deodorant free from aluminium salts and baking soda. It is based on a combination of magnesium (magnesium hydroxide), arrowroot powder and sage oil, which has antimicrobial properties. It is designed for underarms that need odour protection without blocking the sweat glands.
Sweat itself does not smell. Unpleasant odour only develops when bacteria on the skin's surface process it. Green Mist therefore does not target the amount of sweat, but rather the environment in which odour develops.
Magnesium and sage to help prevent odour
The main active ingredient is Magnesium Hydroxide, i.e. magnesium hydroxide. In deodorants, it is used as an alternative to baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate). It works on the environment in which bacteria convert sweat into odour-causing substances, while being gentler and less likely than baking soda to irritate sensitive underarms.
It is complemented by Triethyl Citrate, a citric acid ester that is among the commonly used deodorising ingredients, and Salvia Officinalis Oil – an essential oil from common sage. Sage is traditionally associated with caring for skin prone to sweating, while also giving the formula its herbal character. Magnesium and sage help neutralise the bacteria responsible for unpleasant odour. Triethyl citrate, in turn, helps maintain freshness even after hours of wear.
Underarm moisture is absorbed with the help of Maranta Arundinacea Root Powder – arrowroot powder, a natural starch used in cosmetics as an alternative to talc and synthetic absorbents. It leaves the skin feeling dry without interfering with the sweating mechanism itself.
Aloe vera and oils to soften underarms
The base of Green Mist solid deodorant consists of plant waxes and nourishing oils. The main nourishing ingredient is Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, i.e. shea butter obtained from the nuts of the African shea tree. It gives the balm a rich texture and keeps the skin soft. It is complemented by Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract – a soothing aloe vera extract that is especially suitable for sensitive underarms. Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, jojoba oil pressed from the seeds of the Simmondsia desert shrub, ensures a smooth glide during application. The formula also includes Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, or almond oil, which provides the skin with the comfort it needs. The formula is rounded off with coconut oil (Cocos Nucifera Oil) and Tocopherol, i.e. vitamin E, which is an antioxidant.
The rich texture allows for smooth application. Simply hold the product against the underarm for a few seconds; body heat will warm it up, allowing it to spread smoothly.
Green Mist does not contain aluminium salts, so it does not stop sweating. Nor is that its purpose. The body sweats naturally, and the deodorant simply makes sure it does not smell. It is therefore suitable for those who do not want to block their sweat glands.
A thin layer is enough
The formula is concentrated, so a very thin layer is enough for all-day protection. Less product on the skin also means a lower risk of greasy stains on clothing.
Green Mist fragrance: citrus with a herbal touch of sage
Green Mist immediately brings to mind fresh citrus notes with a herbal touch thanks to sage. The fragrance is light, so it will not clash with your perfume, even after a workout.

Solid texture from plant waxes
Its firm, balm-like consistency comes from Candelilla Cera, a plant wax obtained from the leaves of the candelilla shrub, used in solid cosmetic products as a plant-based alternative to beeswax. It is complemented by Stearyl Alcohol, a plant-derived fatty alcohol that gives the product firmness and a smooth glide during application. The water and oil components are combined by Sodium Caproyl/Lauroyl Lactylate, an emulsifier derived from lactic acid and fatty acids.
The formula is protected by Phenethyl Alcohol, a substance with antimicrobial and preservative properties that helps keep the product stable throughout its entire period of use.
A conventional antiperspirant primarily aims to reduce the amount of sweat using aluminium salts. Natural solid deodorants, on the other hand, often rely on baking soda, which has a high pH and can cause irritation in sensitive underarms.
Green Mist takes a third approach. It does not block sweating and, instead of baking soda, uses gentler magnesium hydroxide, complemented by arrowroot powder, Triethyl Citrate and sage oil. The balm base of plant waxes, shea butter, and jojoba and almond oils also ensures skin comfort during daily use.
