Zinc tablets contain 15 mg of zinc with laboratory-verified purity of at least 99,9 %. When should you take zinc?
Take 1 tablet daily, ideally with a meal and plenty of water. Food helps prevent potential stomach irritation that may occur in more sensitive individuals when taken on an empty stomach.
Taking zinc together with other minerals and medications
Calcium and iron may reduce zinc absorption when taken at the same time in higher doses, as these minerals compete for the same transport pathways in the intestine. If you take separate supplements of these minerals in higher doses, maintain an interval of approximately two hours.
Similar caution applies to tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, with which zinc may form complexes that reduce their absorption.⁵ The recommended interval is at least two hours before taking them or four to six hours afterwards. If you take any regular medication, consult a doctor or pharmacist before supplementing with zinc.
Long-term zinc intake
Zinc is a common component of the diet that the body needs long term for hundreds of biochemical processes, so there is no need to discontinue or cycle it, but it is important to take it consistently and regularly over the long term.

Composition
Dosage
According to European standards (EFSA), the recommended daily intake of zinc ranges between 7,5–12,7 mg for women and 9,4–16,3 mg for men. You can easily supplement this amount with 1 GymBeam zinc tablet.
The appropriate zinc dosage also depends on the amount of phytates in your diet. Phytates are antinutritional substances that reduce zinc absorption and are found mainly in whole grains, legumes and vegetables. If your diet is rich in these foods, you will also need to increase your zinc intake.
One zinc tablet provides 15 mg, which is 150 % of the nutrient reference value (NRV).⁴
