This important carotenoid and pigment is responsible for the orange to yellow-red colouration of carrots and other crops. It is also referred to as provitamin A because it is converted to vitamin A in the body. This is one of the reasons why beta-carotene is also added to creams and other products designed for bronzed skin. However, the carotenoid group also includes glycopene from tomato extract, lutein from marigold flower or astaxanthin from an algae called Haematococcus pluvialis, which will do their best to make your skin look sun-kissed.

This beauty supplement also includes selected minerals in the form of zinc, copper and selenium. Zinc contributes to the normal metabolism of the aforementioned vitamin A, plus it also helps keep hair, nails and skin healthy. Just like selenium, copper also supports the protection of cells from oxidative stress and is thus a valuable antioxidant. Last but not least, copper itself contributes to the healthy pigmentation of hair and skin. Also playing a role in the Sun Kiss formula is L-tyrosine and you may also notice the abbreviation PABA. This is para-aminobenzoic acid, which used to be a common ingredient in sunscreens. Today, however, you'll find it more as part of skin supplements.
