GymBeam Natural Cosmetics Natural Cosmetics
Natural Cosmetics from manufacturer GymBeam Natural Cosmetics in our offer represents a modern selection with only a verified list of ingredients (INCI), which combines pure natural extracts with modern scientific knowledge about the human skin microbiome. The flagship of the range is our own line of GymBeam cosmetics manufactured in the EU for everyday use by active people. We have developed highly functional formulas for the body and hair that fully respect the skin's natural protective barrier. There are products available free from aluminium, sulphates (SLS/SLES), silicones, parabens, baking soda and palm oil. Whether you need a quick solution for your gym bag or are looking for the ultimate gentleness for very sensitive skin, our products provide first-class daily care without unnecessary chemicals.
What is clean beauty, and how does it differ?
GymBeam cosmetics are based on the principles of clean beauty — a modern approach that avoids controversial synthetic substances (parabens, SLS/SLES sulphates, silicones, phthalates, aluminium salts, synthetic fragrances) and replaces them with safer natural alternatives or proven synthetic ingredients. Unlike purely natural cosmetics, it acknowledges modern scientific knowledge, takes the most well-researched ingredients, and combines them with functional efficacy. The EU bans over 1,300 cosmetic substances, but clean beauty goes even further, avoiding a range of permitted but consumer-rejected raw materials. Many people today actively seek products with a minimum of ingredients (Mintel research).
Which cosmetic products to choose?
- Natural deodorants (solid and roll-on) — a modern alternative to regular antiperspirants. Our formulas rely on, for example, magnesium (magnesium hydroxide), zinc (Zinc PCA), and antimicrobial sage extracts. The flagship is the innovative formulas enriched with probiotics (lactobacilli), which maintain the natural balance of the skin and can handle even higher workloads. You can try the roll-on (50 ml) in the Green Tonic fragrance or the solid stick (50 g) in the Melisse + Verveine and Green Mist variants.
- Sulphate-free shampoos (200 ml) — complex hair care that uses the gentlest natural cleansing ingredients on the market instead of aggressive components. As a result, the shampoos do not unnecessarily dry out the scalp, and thanks to added caffeine, bamboo extracts, and plant ferments (lactobacillus), they act as a great support for strengthening the structure and natural growth of hair. Available variants include Magnolia (bamboo extract) and Verbena with caffeine.
- 2-in-1 shower gels (200 ml) — for minimalists and athletes, we offer practical 2-in-1 shower gels with grapeseed oil and spirulina (Salt and Sage edition), which, thanks to their optimal pH, perfectly wash the body and hair, saving space in your gym bag. Classic Green Tonic shower gels have a gentle cleansing base enriched with panthenol (regeneration), argan oil (hydration), and plant extracts for soothing.
- Solid soaps (100 g) — honest vegan soaps without palm oil with a high proportion of caring oils (shea butter, coconut oil, marigold/calendula). Specialised variants are available: Lemongrass & Tea Tree with activated charcoal (fantastic for cleansing the skin after a demanding workout or for skin prone to oiliness and acne) or hypoallergenic Calendula (only 6 ingredients, fragrance-free).
Main benefits of our cosmetics
- Uncompromising composition — we use functionally effective active ingredients, natural odour blockers (zinc PCA, magnesium), and essential oils. A short INCI, typically 5–20 ingredients instead of the usual 30–50.
- Absolute gentleness — formulas free from irritating sulphates (SLS/SLES) and without baking soda are a lifesaver for people with sensitive or allergic skin. Baking soda in natural deodorants causes irritation and redness in many users — our formulations purposely avoid it.
- Support for the skin microbiome — thanks to the use of probiotics (Lactobacillus ferment) and other gentle ingredients, the products not only cleanse the skin but also provide long-term protection for its natural microbial balance.
- Made in the EU — our own line of GymBeam cosmetics is manufactured in accordance with the EU Cosmetic Products Regulation 1223/2009.
Selected active ingredients and their functions
- Zinc PCA — a natural alternative to aluminium salts in deodorants, neutralises odour-causing bacteria without clogging sweat ducts
- Magnesium hydroxide — an odour neutraliser for sensitive skin, a gentler alternative to baking soda
- Panthenol (provitamin B5) — hydrates and accelerates skin regeneration
- Caffeine — stimulates hair follicles and may slow down hair loss
- Spirulina — rich in antioxidants and micronutrients, nourishes the skin and hair
- Activated charcoal — binds impurities and excess sebum, ideal for oily skin
- Bamboo extract + lactobacillus ferment — strengthens hair and supports the skin microbiome
- Argan oil, shea butter, coconut oil — natural hydrating bases in soaps and shower gels
Who is this category for?
- Active athletes who appreciate practical products (2-in-1 body and hair), refreshing aromatherapeutic profiles (citrus, mint, sage), and deep-cleansing soaps after physical exertion. Natural cosmetics are well-suited as part of a post-workout routine.
- People with sensitive and reactive skin for whom the absence of baking soda in deodorants and gentle sulphate-free hair care are crucial. For extremely sensitive skin, hypoallergenic soap is ideal.
- Advocates of absolute minimalism who prefer products without unnecessary chemicals and artificial fragrances. A soap with 6 ingredients is an exemplary product of this philosophy.
- Vegans and the eco-conscious — solid soaps are vegan and palm oil-free; solid cosmetics generally produce up to 80% less plastic waste than liquid alternatives.
How to choose natural cosmetics
- Read the INCI — ideally 5–20 ingredients. If a product has 30+ ingredients, it is a sign of excess chemicals
- Look for "free-from" claims — aluminium-free, silicone-free, sulphate-free, paraben-free, soda-free, no palm oil
- By skin type — sensitive → magnesium deodorant + hypoallergenic Calendula soap; normal → roll-on with Zinc PCA + Green Tonic shower gel
- By hair type — thinning/falling hair → Verbena shampoo with caffeine; normal hair → Magnolia
- By activities — for daily fitness, Salt and Sage 2-in-1 shower gel (quick body+hair solution)
Frequently asked questions
What is a "short INCI" and why does it matter?
INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) is the mandatory list of ingredients on the packaging. A short INCI means fewer ingredients — typically 5–20 instead of the usual 30–50. The risk of allergic reaction, irritation, or interaction is thus lower. GymBeam Calendula soap has only 6 ingredients.
Can natural cosmetics be used every day?
Yes. All products are designed for daily use — the formulation is gentle enough not to burden the skin or hair. For athletes who shower even twice a day, we recommend a sulphate-free shower gel and silicone-free shampoo — minimum burden during repeated washing.
Solid soap vs. shower gel — which is better?
Solid soap has a shorter INCI, less plastic waste, lasts 2–3x longer than shower gel, and doesn't need preservatives. Shower gel is more convenient, more hygienic in shared spaces, and usually contains hydrating ingredients (panthenol, argan oil). The choice is about preferences, not quality.
Why an aluminium-free deodorant?
Aluminium salts (Aluminium Chlorohydrate) in regular antiperspirants clog sweat glands to stop sweating. Clean beauty deodorants instead use Zinc PCA and magnesium hydroxide, which neutralise odour-causing bacteria and let the skin breathe naturally.
Why a baking soda-free deodorant?
Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) is a natural and effective odour neutraliser, but it changes the skin's pH (from a natural 5.5 to an alkaline 8–9) and causes irritation, redness, or eczema in some users. Our formulas use magnesium hydroxide and Zinc PCA, which work similarly effectively but respect the skin's natural pH.
Are silicones in shampoo harmful?
Silicones are not toxic, but they coat the hair in an impermeable film. The hair thus looks smooth, but gradually dries out and weakens because nutrients from subsequent care cannot penetrate it. Our silicone-free shampoos care for the hair from the inside, not with a cosmetic effect.
What is "Lactobacillus ferment" and why do you use it?
It is a probiotic extract from lactic fermentation that supports the natural microbial balance of the skin and hair (the so-called microbiome). Probiotic cosmetics are one of the fast-growing clean beauty trends, and our shampoos and deodorants use them for long-term skin protection.
Tip for maximum results:
Combine a roll-on deodorant in the morning and a solid deodorant at night or in your sports bag (it won't leak, lasts longer). After a demanding workout, use the Salt and Sage 2-in-1 shower gel with panthenol and spirulina for quick skin regeneration.
