It holds the knee reasonably well. I bought it to strengthen the joint during the recovery period after surgery. I read the reviews here, and the same thing happened to me: after about 3 days, it tore at the back along the seam. The stitches came undone and the threads broke. It is slightly more complicated to select the correct size, as dimensions are not provided in diameter, and they tend to tear relatively easily behind the knee; however, they do perform their function effectively.
