BIO Virgin Coconut Oil is a popular vegetable fat, made from the pulp of the fruit of the coconut palm tree. Because it is gently processed and cold-pressed, it retains its natural coconut flavour, aroma and all typical properties. It is not refined, bleached or deodorised, and comes from controlled organic farming, thus meeting strict organic quality criteria. It is typical for coconut fat to vary in consistency depending on temperature. It remains solid until about 25°C, after which it begins to soften.
It is also characterised by a high proportion of stable saturated fatty acids, which makes it durable and versatile to use. In a cold kitchenits characteristic coconut flavor shines through - it's a good fit for spreads, raw creams, homemade desserts and as a butter substitute. If you want to cook with it, heat it only briefly and on low heat. It's good for quick sautéing, for example, when it won't burn.
