Beef Protein – patented HydroBeef™ hydrolysate with up to 93% protein and no allergens

Beef Protein contains the patented beef protein hydrolysate HydroBeef™, a popular alternative to milk proteins. It is the only protein ingredient in the formula, allowing the powder to contain up to 93% protein.

One 30 g scoop provides your body with up to 28 g of protein, which supports the growth and maintenance of muscle mass. It contains no more than 0.5 g of fat and 0.5 g of carbohydrates, so protein accounts for 94% of its energy value. It contains no lactose or milk protein, making it suitable for anyone who avoids dairy ingredients.

The ingredient was developed by the Danish company Essentia Protein Solutions, and its trademark is licensed by AMPC. This is not an unbranded beef powder, but an ingredient with its own specifications and an identifiable manufacturer. It comes from sources in the European Union and holds Halal certification. This confirms that the ingredient and its production comply with Islamic dietary requirements, including the prescribed method of animal slaughter and separation from prohibited ingredients throughout processing. Compliance is verified by an independent certification authority.

Does beef protein work the same way as whey protein?

A meta-analysis of seven randomized controlled trials compared beef protein with whey protein in people who also exercised. It found no difference between the two sources in muscle gain or fat loss.1 Compared with a group that did not take protein supplements at all, beef protein increased muscle mass and lower-body strength.1

Whey contains more leucine, the amino acid that most strongly stimulates muscle protein synthesis. It therefore acts faster in the first few hours after exercise. After several weeks, however, the difference disappears because total daily protein intake matters more than how quickly a single serving acts.1

What are the advantages of beef protein?

Beef Protein offers four things whey protein cannot.

  • No milk and no lactose. It is not a dairy protein, so it contains not even traces of lactose. Whey protein concentrate contains 4 to 8 g per 100 g.
  • Higher protein content. Up to 93%, compared with 85 to 90% in whey isolate and 70 to 80% in whey concentrate.
  • Less fat and sugar. No more than 1.7 g of fat and 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g, while whey concentrate typically contains 5 to 8 g of each.
  • Halal certification. Rare among dairy proteins.

Gentle enzymatic hydrolysis, not acid hydrolysis

Protein can be broken down into shorter peptides in two ways, and the difference between them is significant.

Acid hydrolysis is cheaper and faster. It uses a strong acid at a high temperature, but some amino acids are destroyed in the process. Tryptophan, for example, is almost completely broken down.

HydroBeef™ undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis. Enzymes break down protein chains in a targeted way at a moderate temperature, preserving the amino acids. You can verify this in the analysis: tryptophan is present in the amino acid profile, which would not be the case after acid hydrolysis.

This gentle process also has a practical benefit. The hydrolysate is water-soluble, so you only need to shake it in a shaker bottle to get a creamy drink without lumps. In practical terms, it comes down to this: if you avoid dairy, beef protein is a full-fledged alternative, not a compromise.

What are the advantages of beef protein?
Purity and quality control for every batch

Every batch is tested by independent laboratories accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories. Tests cover heavy metal content (lead, cadmium and mercury) using the ICP-MS method, as well as microbiological purity. You can find the complete test reports in the Laboratory Tests section directly on the product page.

Free from all 14 major allergens

Beef Protein contains none of the 14 major allergens. It contains no milk, soy or gluten—unusual for such a concentrated source of protein.

One scoop contains approximately 115 kcal, almost all of which come from protein. This makes it suitable for a weight-loss diet without taking up a large share of your daily calorie intake.

Who Is Beef Protein Suitable For?

1. You avoid milk proteins.
Whether because of lactose or for another reason, Beef Protein contains neither milk nor lactose, so you can use it even when whey is not an option.

2. You do strength training.
In an eight-week study, beef protein combined with strength training increased lean body mass and reduced fat mass compared with a group that did not receive protein.2

3. You eat less, perhaps because you use GLP-1 products.
One scoop provides up to 28 g of protein in approximately 115 kcal, helping you maintain your protein intake even with small portions. It is therefore also suitable for a regimen that includes GLP-1 products.

4. You want to know what you are buying.
A patented ingredient from an identifiable manufacturer, documented EU origin of the beef, Halal certification, and laboratory reports for every batch.

5. You care about your bones, not just your muscles.
Protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

Customer Experiences:

Reviews for a beef protein category are mainly very positive. Most customers highlight a solid protein profile, good digestibility, and relief for those who struggle with lactose or dairy protein. Taste is often described as acceptable to enjoyable, especially in chocolate or vanilla. The most common downside is foaming and clumping when mixed, typically improved by warming, correct ratios, and waiting a few minutes.
