Probiotics
Probiotics is a category where you can find probiotic supplements containing beneficial microorganisms to support the optimal state of the gut microbiome and digestive system. Furthermore, you can also find products in the form of digestive enzymes here.
In the case of probiotics, these are mainly health-beneficial bacteria. They live together with other microorganisms in our digestive system. To make their life easier and maximally support their activity, it is necessary to take adequate care of them. The key is a healthy lifestyle and a suitable diet rich in prebiotics and probiotics. In the case of prebiotics, these are undigested substances of a carbohydrate nature, which stimulate the growth or activity of beneficial bacteria, or probiotic bacteria, in our digestive system.
Probiotics naturally occur in fermented foods, such as yoghurts, cheeses or sauerkraut. These foods are generally naturally rich in beneficial live cultures. People whose diet is not sufficiently varied seek probiotics in the form of supplements. These offer concentrated sources of various probiotic strains with a functional content of several billion colony-forming units (CFU).
Complex Probiotic Blends
Complex probiotic supplements are a good example. Their advantage is also the practical capsule form, thanks to which they are easy to take.
- Probio Pink specially designed for women. It contains probiotics as well as prebiotic fibre, thanks to which it can effectively support nutrient absorption, the gut microbiome, digestive care and female intimate health.
- ProbioTen consists of a complex of 10 probiotic strains with 10 billion CFU (colony-forming units) for optimal digestion. At the same time, it contains the prebiotic fibre inulin, which serves as food for bacteria in the large intestine and thus helps them grow.

Digestive Enzymes
In this category, we mustn't forget about digestive enzymes, which help break down food so that our body can absorb important nutrients from it. Most of them are produced mainly by the pancreas. The stomach, small intestine or oral cavity also participate in the production of others.
Digestive enzymes can be divided into four main types. These help digest proteins, carbohydrates or fats. They include:
- amylase - a digestive enzyme that is secreted mainly by the pancreas and salivary glands. Its main function is to ensure the breakdown of starch into simpler carbohydrates.
- protease - a group of enzymes essential for digestion, as it participates in the breakdown of proteins, breaking them down into smaller polypeptides or individual amino acids.
- lipase - a digestive enzyme that breaks down fat into simpler structures so that it can subsequently be optimally utilised.
- lactase - a digestive enzyme that breaks down lactose (milk sugar) into glucose and galactose. It may be suitable for people who suffer from lactose problems.
You can also find products on the market containing these five digestive enzymes. An ideal example is DigeZyme, which supports optimal digestion and nutrient absorption from the diet.
