Quercetin
Quercetin is a category of products that contain this popular flavonoid in various concentrations. It also belongs to the group of antioxidants. Quercetin can come from sources such as the Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora japonica), as well as other plants, fruits, or vegetables. Specifically, it can be found in foods like onions, apples, and grapes. However, these typically don’t contain quercetin in the concentrated amounts found in dietary supplements. That’s why supplements can be a great way to easily benefit from this functional compound and optimise its intake.
We recommend choosing supplements with a higher quercetin content — ideally those standardised to 90% or more of the active ingredient. The easiest way to take it is in convenient capsules that you can carry with you anywhere. However, it's also commonly available in tablet or powder form, which can be added to drinks or food.
