Ghi is a butter fat that is produced by slow butter release. This method removes water, sugars, whey and casein from it. This results in pure yellowish fat with butter flavor that is also suitable for people with lactose intolerance.
Ghi is pure butter fat that is produced by slow butter release. It is made from milk from cows that graze on farms where they do not use any pesticides, industrial fertilizers or chemicals. During its preparation, water, proteins and sugars are evaporated from the butter. It results into pure fat which has yellow color, butter flavor and do not content any flavorings, colorings or aromas. Since it does not contain any milk proteins, it is suitable also for people with milk intolerance. Ghi is suitable for cooking or baking instead of classic butter. It has high ignition point, approximately 240°C, which means that it does not over burn during baking or cooking.
