Chocolates is a category full of delicious treats that have won over the hearts of millions of people all around the world. The origin of chocolate dates back to the year 1502, when cocoa beans that form the basis of every quality chocolate were used as currency. However, chocolate is nowadays regarded mostly as a delicacy, which neither children nor adults can resist. It boasts a fascinating nutritional profile and is rich in nutrients. Different types of chocolate vary in its cocoa content, which is additionally complemented by other ingredients. However, it is cocoa that is the most fascinating one. This is mostly because it contains various health-promoting substances, such as polyphenols, which rank among antioxidants.

Dark chocolate must contain at least 35% of cocoa solids. In the case of milk chocolate, it is 25%, as it most often contains milk in powdered form.
