Te biljke imaju <strong>tisu\u0107ljetnu tradiciju u kineskoj i ajurvedskoj medicini<\/strong>, gdje su se upotrebljavale, na primjer, za lije\u010denje infekcija, upala ili probavnih problema. Me\u0111utim, u to vrijeme nitko nije znao da je za njihove u\u010dinke odgovorna odre\u0111ena tvar. Berberin jo\u0161 nije bio izoliran, tako da su se upotrebljavali cijeli dijelovi biljaka, naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e korijen ili kora.    <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\"><sup>[1\u20132]<\/sup><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Iz perspektive moderne znanosti, berberin smo otkrili <strong>razmjerno nedavno<\/strong>. U svom kemijski \u010distom obliku prvi je put izoliran <strong>1917. godine iz kanadske \u017eutike (<em>Hydrastis canadensis<\/em>)<\/strong>. Kemijski pripada <strong>alkaloidima<\/strong>, organskim spojevima koji sadr\u017ee du\u0161ik i obi\u010dno se nalaze u biljkama. Drugi primjeri uklju\u010duju <a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.hr\/kofeini\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kofein<\/a> ili nikotin. <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\"><sup><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[3]<\/span><\/sup><\/mark>      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Zanimljivo je da berberin ima <strong>izrazito \u017eutu boju<\/strong>. Zbog toga se povijesno upotrebljavao kao prirodno bojilo za tekstil i ko\u017eu. Iako su ga danas u toj ulozi zamijenile sinteti\u010dke tvari, u laboratorijima se jo\u0161 uvijek upotrebljava kao fluorescentno bojilo, na primjer, pri bojenju DNK-a pod UV svjetlom. Me\u0111utim, berberin ve\u0107 dugi niz godina zanima znanstvenike zbog svog djelovanja na klju\u010dne stani\u010dne mehanizme. Utje\u010de na takozvane <strong>regulatore energetske ravnote\u017ee visoke razine<\/strong>, kao \u0161to je enzim AMPK (adenozin-monofosfatom aktivirana proteinska kinaza), PKC (proteinska kinaza C) i SIRT1 (sirtuin 1). Te molekule igraju klju\u010dnu ulogu u upravljanju <strong>metabolizmom, imunolo\u0161kim funkcijama i upalnim procesima.<\/strong><sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[5]<\/span><\/mark><\/sup>      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Zahvaljuju\u0107i tom slo\u017eenom djelovanju, berberin mo\u017ee imati zanimljive u\u010dinke na osobe s problemima u tim podru\u010djima, ali i na zdrave osobe kao dio zdravog na\u010dina \u017eivota. Mo\u017ee pomo\u0107i kod sagorijevanja masno\u0107e i gubitka te\u017eine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>O berberinu i gubitku te\u017eine raspravlja se na dru\u0161tvenim mre\u017eama, kao i u stru\u010dnim krugovima. To pokazuju i neka znanstvena istra\u017eivanja. Prema njima, mo\u017ee doprinijeti <strong>smanjenju <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.hr\/blog\/koliki-postotak-tjelesne-masnoce-trebate-imati-da-bi-vasi-trbusni-misici-bili-vidljivi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>tjelesne masno\u0107e<\/strong><\/a><strong>, <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.hr\/blog\/sto-je-bmi-kalkulator-i-je-li-uopce-pouzdan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>BMI-ja<\/strong><\/a><strong>(indeksa tjelesne mase) i opsega struka<\/strong>, \u010dak i bez zna\u010dajnih promjena u prehrani. Ti u\u010dinci uglavnom su posljedica <strong>aktivacije enzima AMPK<\/strong>, koji pove\u0107ava potro\u0161nju energije u stanicama i pospje\u0161uje sagorijevanje masti. <sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">[6\u20138]<\/mark><\/sup> .      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">U\u010dinci berberina na tjelesnu te\u017einu prema istra\u017eivanjima:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>mo\u017ee pomo\u0107i u smanjenju te\u017eine i opsega struka<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>doprinosi pobolj\u0161anju omjera struka i bokova (WHR), \u0161to je povezano s pohranom visceralne masno\u0107e<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>aktivira enzim AMPK i ubrzava metabolizam masti<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mo\u017ee biti posebno koristan za osobe s <a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.hr\/blog\/pretilost-prekomjerna-tezina-i-optimalna-tjelesna-tezina-gdje-je-granica-i-zasto-pretilost-nije-zdrava\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prekomjernom te\u017einom, pretilo\u0161\u0107u<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.hr\/blog\/osjetljivost-na-inzulin-kako-ga-povecati-i-sprijeciti-otpornost-na-inzulin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inzulinskom rezistencijom<\/a> ili metaboli\u010dkim sindromom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Taj potencijal potvr\u0111uje, na primjer, <strong>metaanaliza 12 klini\u010dkih studija<\/strong> u koje je bilo uklju\u010deno vi\u0161e od 1000 sudionika, a koje su zabilje\u017eile prosje\u010dan <strong>gubitak te\u017eine od 2,07 kg<\/strong>, <strong>smanjenje <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.hr\/blog\/bmi-kalkulator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>BMI-ja<\/strong><\/a><strong>za 0,47 bodova<\/strong>, <strong>smanjenje opsega struka za 1,08 cm<\/strong> i pad upalnog markera CRP-a za 0,42 mg\/l u usporedbi s kontrolnom skupinom.<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\"><sup> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[7]<\/span><\/sup><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>S druge strane, postoje i istra\u017eivanja koja nisu pokazala zna\u010dajan utjecaj na te\u017einu. Na primjer, pregled iz 2020. godine nije prona\u0161ao promjene u tjelesnoj te\u017eini ili BMI-ju, nego samo pobolj\u0161anje omjera struka i bokova. Berberin je, s druge strane, dodatak prehrani i njegov dugoro\u010dni utjecaj na zdravlje i metabolizam jo\u0161 nije toliko temeljito istra\u017een. Taj je u\u010dinak va\u017ean za <strong>sprje\u010davanje kardiovaskularnih bolesti<\/strong> i podr\u0161ku cjelokupnom metaboli\u010dkom zdravlju. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">U\u010dinci berberina na metabolizam masti prema istra\u017eivanjima:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>mo\u017ee smanjiti proizvodnju kolesterola u jetri zbog utjecaja na jetrene enzime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mo\u017ee pove\u0107ati razgradnju kolesterola LDL (lipoproteina niske gusto\u0107e), poznatog i kao &#8220;lo\u0161 kolesterol&#8221;, iz krvotoka<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pospje\u0161uje razgradnju masti (triglicerida) i smanjuje njihovo skladi\u0161tenje u jetri<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Pozitivan utjecaj berberina na razinu lipida u krvi tako\u0111er je potvr\u0111en metaanalizom 11 nasumi\u010dnih klini\u010dkih studija. Rezultati su pokazali da je dodavanje berberina dovelo do zna\u010dajnog smanjenja: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ukupnog kolesterola<\/strong> u prosjeku za 0,61 mmol\/l<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>triglicerida<\/strong> za 0,50 mmol\/l<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>LDL kolesterola<\/strong> za 0,65 mmol\/l<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Istovremeno, do\u0161lo je do blagog, ali statisti\u010dki zna\u010dajnog <strong>porasta kolesterola HDL (lipoproteina visoke gusto\u0107e)<\/strong>, poznatog i kao &#8220;dobri kolesterol&#8221;, za 0,05 mmol\/l. Me\u0111utim, ako traje predugo, mo\u017ee doprinijeti razvoju kroni\u010dnih bolesti, kao \u0161to su dijabetes tipa 2, kardiovaskularne bolesti ili pretilost. Me\u0111utim, i dalje je istina da berberin nije zamjena za lijekove ili zdrav na\u010din \u017eivota, ali mo\u017ee prikladno nadopuniti cjelokupnu zdravstvenu skrb.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mikrobiom\">5. Mo\u017ee podr\u017eati crijevnu mikrobiotu (mikrobiom)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ravnote\u017ea crijevne mikrobiote igra <strong>klju\u010dnu ulogu u ljudskom metaboli\u010dkom, imunolo\u0161kom i mentalnom zdravlju.<\/strong> Njen poreme\u0107aj (disbioza) povezan je s nizom problema, kao \u0161to su oslabljen imunitet ili upalne bolesti crijeva. Stoga je va\u017eno brinuti se o svom mikrobiomu. Berberin mo\u017ee pomo\u0107i u tome, budu\u0107i da trenutne znanstvene spoznaje sugeriraju da ima <strong>blagotvoran u\u010dinak na odr\u017eavanje zdravog crijevnog mikrobioma.<\/strong>    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">U\u010dinak berberina na mikrobiom prema istra\u017eivanjima:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Podr\u017eava rast korisnih bakterija,<\/strong> kao \u0161to su <em>Bacteroides, Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus<\/em> i <em>Akkermansia<\/em>, a istovremeno potiskuje neke potencijalno \u0161tetne vrste (kao \u0161to su <em>Escherichia coli<\/em> ili <em>Klebsiella pneumoniae<\/em>).
