Te su stanice raspore\u0111ene gotovo svugdje u tijelu, a s obzirom na njihov polo\u017eaj, masno\u0107a se mo\u017ee podijeliti na potko\u017enu i visceralnu. <sup><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[1]<\/span><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b><strong>Potko\u017ena <\/strong><\/b>je ona koju vidite na prvi pogled i koje se prvo poku\u0161avate rije\u0161iti.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b><strong>Visceralna <\/strong><\/b>masno\u0107a nalazi se oko organa i njena je funkcija pru\u017eiti im mehani\u010dku za\u0161titu, regulirati metabolizam i razinu hormona. Tako\u0111er je izvor tvari koje su uklju\u010dene u regulaciju imunolo\u0161kog sustava.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Masno tkivo tako\u0111er se mo\u017ee razvrstati prema njegovoj sposobnosti stvaranja topline (termogenezi). Naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e <b><strong>masno tkivo je bijelo<\/strong><\/b> i funkcionira kao skladi\u0161te energije. Adipociti bijelog masnog tkiva ne sadr\u017ee veliki broj mitohondrija i stoga nisu mjesto gdje se tro\u0161i energija. Gotovo su u potpunosti ispunjeni velikim rezervoarom masti \u2013 vakuolom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>S druge strane medalje nalazi se <b><strong>sme\u0111e masno tkivo<\/strong><\/b>, koje tro\u0161i energiju i odgovorno je za proizvodnju topline kod svih sisavaca. Stanice tog tkiva energetski su aktivnije od stanica bijelog masnog tkiva i sadr\u017ee veliki broj mitohondrija, \u010diji metabolizam tro\u0161i veliku koli\u010dinu energije za proizvodnju topline. Energija ne nestaje tek tako, nego se pohranjuje kao mast u masnim stanicama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Broj masnih stanica posebno se pove\u0107ava u djetinjstvu i adolescenciji. Kasnije u odrasloj dobi, broj masnih stanica je fiksan i mijenja se s pove\u0107anjem i gubitkom te\u017eine. To se doga\u0111a do to\u010dke kad se vi\u0161e ne mogu pove\u0107avati i potrebno je stvoriti nove stanice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b><strong>Pove\u0107anje adipocita<\/strong><\/b> zbog prekomjernog skladi\u0161tenja masti naziva se, kao i u slu\u010daju mi\u0161i\u0107a, <b><strong>hipertrofijom<\/strong><\/b>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><b><strong>Stvaranje novih adipocita<\/strong><\/b> naziva se <b><strong>hiperplazijom<\/strong><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b><strong>Hipertrofija<\/strong><\/b><b> <\/b>adipocita uvelike utje\u010de na njihovu funkciju i tipi\u010dna je za visceralno masno tkivo. Broj i veli\u010dina masnih stanica<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Broj masnih stanica kod osoba s prekomjernom tjelesnom te\u017einom i pretilosti stoga je ve\u0107i nego kod osoba zdrave tjelesne te\u017eine. U ekstremnijim slu\u010dajevima, pretile osobe mogu imati i do dvostruko vi\u0161e masnih stanica. Ako smr\u0161ave, taj se broj ne mijenja. Mijenja se veli\u010dina masnih stanica, koje se &#8220;ispu\u0161u&#8221; poput balona, \u200b\u200b\u010dekaju\u0107i da se ponovno &#8220;napu\u0161u&#8221;. Drugim rije\u010dima, prekomjerna te\u017eina i pretilost promijenit \u0107e regulaciju gena u masnim stanicama. Adipociti, koji su neko\u0107 bili<b><strong> puni masti<\/strong><\/b> i \u010dija je funkcija bila poreme\u0107ena zbog pretilosti, pamte to stanje. Normalna tjelesna te\u017eina <b><strong>nije <\/strong><\/b>normalna za epigenetski modificirane adipocite i oni ula\u017eu velike napore da povrate izgubljenu masno\u0107u. Leptin i grelin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Naravno, debljanje se ne doga\u0111a nekim \u010dudesnim pretvaranjem hrane u mast, nego na njega utje\u010de to koliko kalorija unosite. Ho\u0107ete li smr\u0161avjeti ili se udebljati, ovisi o tome koliko \u0107ete hrane staviti na tanjur. To utje\u010de na <b><strong>mozak<\/strong><\/b>, koji ima vrlo dobar pregled nad va\u0161im masnim zalihama. Glavni je krivac hormon <b><strong>leptin<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Leptin, poznat i kao hormon sitosti, govori mozgu koliko masti ima u tijelu. Sustav funkcionira vrlo jednostavno \u2013 \u0161to vi\u0161e masno\u0107e imate, to se vi\u0161e leptina proizvodi u masnim stanicama, a to mozgu daje do znanja da imate dovoljno masnih zaliha. Ako kojim slu\u010dajem smr\u0161avite, proizvodnja leptina opada i mozak dobiva signal da ste po\u010deli tro\u0161iti masne zalihe. Cijeli sustav leptina trebao bi vas <b><strong>odr\u017eati na \u017eivotu. <\/strong><\/b><sup><mark><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[5]<\/span><\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Me\u0111utim, mozak nema to\u010dnu vrijednost zaliha masti i mo\u017ee se naviknuti na vi\u0161e masti. Ako netko dugo ima 10 kg vi\u0161ka, to stanje postaje normalno za mozak. Sve ispod tog vi\u0161ka kilograma mozak \u0107e procijeniti kao<b><strong> opasno po \u017eivot.<\/strong><\/b> Drugim rije\u010dima, ako osoba s prekomjernom te\u017einom smr\u0161avi, mozak \u0107e je po\u010deti <b><strong>tjerati <\/strong><\/b>da <b><strong>jede vi\u0161e i kre\u0107e se manje. <\/strong><\/b><sup><mark><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[5]<\/span><\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>U ekstremnim slu\u010dajevima pretilosti javlja se fenomen leptinske rezistencije. Mozak vi\u0161e ne mo\u017ee pravilno reagirati na signale iz masnog tkiva i stoga nema uvid u stanje zaliha. Rezultat je <b><strong>prejedanje izvan kontrole. <\/strong><\/b><sup><mark><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">[6]<\/span><\/mark><\/sup> Na razine leptina tako\u0111er utje\u010de san. Ako ga nedostaje, razina leptina je <b><strong>ni\u017ea<\/strong><\/b>, \u0161to govori mozgu da biste trebali vi\u0161e jesti.
