Oblika genske spremenljivosti obstaja \u017ee od anti\u010dnih \u010dasov, imenovana <strong>selekcijsko kri\u017eanje.<\/strong> Medtem ko na\u0161i predniki niso neposredno manipulirali z DNK rastlin ali \u017eivali, so uporabili umetno selekcijo, da so ustvarili pridelke in pasme, ki so bile sposobne nahraniti vedno ve\u010djo populacijo na Zemlji. Cveta\u010da, brokoli in zelje so vse razli\u010dice iste rastline, vzgojene za izbolj\u0161anje specifi\u010dnih lastnosti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Opredelitev_GSO\"><\/span>Opredelitev GSO<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kaj natan\u010dno torej je GSO? Genetsko spremenjeni organizem je vsak organizem, pri katerem je bil genetski material namerno spremenjen. Teoreti\u010dno bi to lahko veljalo za <strong>vsako \u017eivo bitje,<\/strong> saj vse \u017eivljenje na Zemlji vsebuje genetske informacije, zapisane v <strong>DNK, ki se lahko spremeni.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1124\" height=\"749\" src=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.sk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/foto-clanek-10.png\" alt=\"Molekularna biologija in genetika\" class=\"wp-image-641363\" title=\"Molekularna biologija in genetika\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/foto-clanek-10.png 1124w, https:\/\/gymbeam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/foto-clanek-10-400x267.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1124px) 100vw, 1124px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Postopek spremembe DNK <strong>se razlikuje<\/strong> glede na organizem. Pri preprostih enoceli\u010dnih organizmih, kot so <strong>bakterije ali kvasovke,<\/strong> je spreminjanje DNK <strong>razmeroma<\/strong> enostavno. Pri teh organizmih je spreminjanje la\u017eje, kar nam omogo\u010da u\u010dinkovito spreminjanje njihovih lastnosti. Vendar pa kljub izrazu &#8220;enostavno&#8221; spreminjanje katere koli DNK, vklju\u010dno z enoceli\u010dnimi organizmi, zahteva <strong>\u0161irok spekter tehnik molekularne biologije in genetike,<\/strong> ki jih obvlada le izbrana skupina ljudi po vsem svetu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Pri ve\u010dceli\u010dnih organizmih, kot so rastline in \u017eivali, postane postopek bistveno <strong>bolj zapleten.<\/strong> Ti organizmi so sestavljeni iz razli\u010dnih vrst celic, ki tvorijo razli\u010dna tkiva (ali v primeru rastlin, strukture, imenovane meristemi), kar pomeni, da je <strong>nemogo\u010de<\/strong> preprosto urediti njihov genetski material, ne da bi hkrati vplivali na DNK na neza\u017eelenih obmo\u010djih. <strong>Neznani geni ali funkcije genov<\/strong> \u0161e dodatno zapletajo zadevo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GSO-ji so v znanosti in raziskavah uporabljani \u017ee <strong>desetletja.<\/strong> Na primer, genetsko spremenjene mi\u0161i z umetnimi mutacijami so nepogre\u0161ljive pri preu\u010devanju \u010dlove\u0161kih bolezni, kot sta rak in sladkorna bolezen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Prvi_GSO_je_resil_milijone_zivljenj\"><\/span>Prvi GSO je re\u0161il milijone \u017eivljenj<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prvi komercialno uporabljeni GSO je bila \u010drevesna bakterija <em>E. coli<\/em>, ki je postala <strong>modelni organizem<\/strong> za molekularno biologijo v 60. in 70. letih prej\u0161njega stoletja. Pogosto imenovan &#8220;delovni konj molekularne biologije,&#8221; je ta bakterija pomagala znanstvenikom razumeti, kako poteka replikacija DNK in kako se tvorijo beljakovine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Leta 1978, potem ko so raziskovalci razvili tehnike za spreminjanje DNK bakterije <em>E. coli<\/em>, se je pojavila ideja, da bi s temi spremenjenimi bakterijami proizvedli <strong>\u010dlove\u0161ki inzulin.<\/strong> Pred tem prebojem je bil inzulin pridobljen iz \u017eivalskih trebu\u0161nih slinavk, kar je zahtevalo <strong>dve toni<\/strong> trebu\u0161nih slinavk za proizvodnjo le <strong>200 gramov inzulina<\/strong> za diabetike. Drug klju\u010dni motiv je <strong>pove\u010danje hranilne vrednosti<\/strong> pridelkov, da bi zagotovili kakovostno hrano za tiste, ki \u017eivijo v revnej\u0161ih regijah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prva genetsko spremenjena rastlina, razvita za \u010dlove\u0161ko prehrano, je bil paradi\u017enik &#8220;<strong>Flavr Savr<\/strong>&#8220;, ki je bil bolj odporen na gnitje, kar je omogo\u010dilo dalj\u0161i transport brez kvarjenja. Vendar ta izdelek trenutno ni ve\u010d na trgu.<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Pomembna zgodba o uspehu je &#8220;<strong>Golden Rice<\/strong>&#8221; (Zlati ri\u017e), genetsko spremenjeni pridelek, zasnovan za proizvodnjo vi\u0161jih ravni <a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.si\/beta-karoten-gymbeam.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">beta-karotena<\/a>, klju\u010dnega prekurzorja vitamina A. Ta ri\u017e je bil razvit za boj proti <a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.si\/vitamin-a-retinol-gymbeam.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\"><strong>pomanjkanju vitamina A<\/strong><\/a> v dr\u017eavah v razvoju. <sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">[3]<\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Trenutno je <strong>koruza<\/strong> najbolj \u0161iroko pridelani genetsko spremenjeni pridelek na svetu. Uporablja se ne le za proizvodnjo hrane za ljudi, temve\u010d tudi kot krma za \u017eivali. Znotraj Evropske unije je odobrenih 58 genetsko spremenjenih pridelkov, vendar se prideluje le GSO koruza in to v zelo majhni koli\u010dini. Vendar pa EU uva\u017ea genetsko spremenjeno <strong>krmo za \u017eivali.<\/strong> Nasprotno pa so GSO \u0161iroko pridelani v Zdru\u017eenih dr\u017eavah Amerike, kjer so proizvodni stro\u0161ki ni\u017eji, pridelki pa vi\u0161ji. To poudarja potrebo po maksimiziranju kmetijske proizvodnje kot odgovor na podnebne spremembe, pojav novih patogenov in \u0161kodljivcev, ki napadajo pridelke. <strong>Na primer, od leta 2024 v Zdru\u017eenem kraljestvu ne pridelujejo GSO \u017eit.<\/strong><sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">[4]<\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Najpogostej\u0161e genetske spremembe pri pridelkih so <strong>odpornost proti herbicidom in endogena proizvodnja insekticidov.<\/strong> Odpornost proti herbicidom omogo\u010da pridelkom, da uspevajo tudi ob uporabi kemikalij, ki ubijajo plevele, kar vodi do ve\u010djih pridelkov. Spreminjanje DNK<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ena najve\u010djih skrbi javnosti je, da bi <strong>u\u017eivanje GSO-ov lahko na nek na\u010din spremenilo na\u0161o lastno DNK. Vendar to ni mogo\u010de.<\/strong> Ko je DNK organizma spremenjen, se ne spreminja ve\u010d, orodja, ki so bila uporabljena za spremembo, pa v kon\u010dnem produktu ni. Cry in Bt beljakovine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Manj znano tveganje GSO pridelkov je prisotnost <strong>Cry in Bt beljakovin,<\/strong> ki so zasnovane <strong>posebej za ciljanje insektov,<\/strong> ki napadajo pridelke. Nedavni podatki pa ka\u017eejo, da te beljakovine lahko povzro\u010dijo <strong>vnetne reakcije<\/strong> in spremembe v notranjih organih pri \u017eivalih, ki so bile hranjene z GSO koruzo in sojo. <sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">[6]<\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Agresivna \u0161kropljenja<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Drugo pomembno zaskrbljujo\u010de vpra\u0161anje je <strong>uporaba agresivnih herbicidov,<\/strong> proti katerim so GSO pridelki odporni. Ta \u0161kropiva so zasnovana za uni\u010devanje neza\u017eelenih rastlin na poljih. Najpogostej\u0161i herbicid je Monsanto&#8217;s <strong>Roundup,<\/strong> ki vsebuje <strong>glifosat.<\/strong> Preostali glifosat v kon\u010dnem produktu je povezan z ve\u010djim tveganjem za razvoj <strong>raka.<\/strong><sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">[7]<\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pomembno je ponovno omeniti, da v Zdru\u017eenem kraljestvu GSO pridelki, odporni proti herbicidom in pesticidom, <strong>niso pridelani.<\/strong> Vendar pa se GSO koruza uva\u017ea za krmo za \u017eivali. Znotraj EU se trenutno prideluje le en GSO pridelek &#8211; koruza MON 810 in to v omejenih koli\u010dinah. <sup><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">[8]<\/mark><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Za GSO pridelke, razvite <strong>za pove\u010danje hranilne vrednosti,<\/strong> kot je Zlati ri\u017e, ki ne vklju\u010duje sprememb za odpornost proti \u0161kodljivcem, je teoreti\u010dno <strong>neverjetno, da bi imeli kakr\u0161nekoli \u0161kodljive u\u010dinke<\/strong> na \u010dlove\u0161ko zdravje.
