Ali lahko resni\u010dno zaupamo BMI in se nanj zana\u0161amo pri spremljanju na\u0161e te\u017ee in splo\u0161nega zdravja?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kaj_je_ITM\"><\/span>Kaj je ITM?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indeks telesne mase, <\/strong>pogosteje znan kot <strong>ITM,<\/strong> je preprost pripomo\u010dek za <strong>ocenjevanje telesne te\u017ee.<\/strong> \u0160tevilo, ki ga dobite pri izra\u010dunu ITM, predstavlja osnovno predstavo o tem, kako dobro va\u0161a <strong>te\u017ea ustreza va\u0161i vi\u0161ini.<\/strong> Njegova preprostost in hiter izra\u010dun verjetno pojasnjujeta njegovo \u0161iroko uporabo in priljubljenost. S\u010dasoma pa se je za\u010del uporabljati tudi za te namene. Tukaj postanejo o\u010ditne njegove <strong>najve\u010dje pomanjkljivosti.<\/strong> V veliki meri <strong>spregleda individualne razlike znotraj prebivalstva,<\/strong> kot so porazdelitev ma\u0161\u010dobe, starost ali spol. Zanemarja porazdelitev ma\u0161\u010dobe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pomembno ni le, koliko telesne ma\u0161\u010dobe imate, ampak tudi <strong>kje je shranjena.<\/strong> Ponavadi lo\u010dimo dva tipa shranjene ma\u0161\u010dobe &#8211; <strong>podko\u017eno<\/strong> in <strong>visceralno.<\/strong> Podko\u017ena ma\u0161\u010doba je tista, ki jo lahko vidimo na prvi pogled. Verjetno ste \u017ee sli\u0161ali za telesne oblike <strong>hru\u0161ke<\/strong> in <strong>jabolka.<\/strong> Oblika hru\u0161ke je zna\u010dilna za \u017eenske, saj imajo pogosto ve\u010dino ma\u0161\u010dobe <strong>shranjeno na bokih<\/strong> in <strong>stegnih.<\/strong> Nasprotno pa se ma\u0161\u010doba v telesu mo\u0161kih obi\u010dajno kopi\u010di okoli <strong>trebuha,<\/strong> kar daje telesu <strong>obliko jabolka.<\/strong> Mo\u0161ki so tudi bolj nagnjeni k pretiranemu shranjevanju visceralne ma\u0161\u010dobe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>V praksi to pomeni, da imata lahko mo\u0161ki in \u017eenska z enakim ITM <strong>zelo razli\u010dna zdravstvena tveganja.<\/strong> \u017denska, pri kateri je ve\u010dina ma\u0161\u010dobe shranjena v spodnjem delu telesa, je lahko <strong>popolnoma zdrava, tudi \u010de je prete\u017eka.<\/strong> Nasprotno pa bi moral mo\u0161ki, pri katerem se prese\u017eek ma\u0161\u010dobe kopi\u010di predvsem okoli trebuha, ponovno premisliti o svojem \u017eivljenjskem slogu in izgubiti te\u017eo, da bi se izognil te\u017eavam, kot so visok krvni tlak, holesterol ali raven sladkorja v krvi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Ne upo\u0161teva starosti<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Starost je \u0161e en dejavnik, ki dolo\u010da, kak\u0161na koli\u010dina shranjene ma\u0161\u010dobe je zdrava za vas. Vendar izra\u010dun BMI ne upo\u0161teva, koliko ste stari, zato ne more dolo\u010diti, kak\u0161na bi morala biti idealna te\u017ea glede na starost. Posledi\u010dno je lahko ocena v\u010dasih zavajajo\u010da. Zato lahko to le ocenite na podlagi tega, kar vidite v ogledalu. Dolo\u010di se z deljenjem vrednosti ITM s 25, kar je zgornja meja zdravega ITM. Rezultat ka\u017ee tveganje, povezano s to mejo. Na primer, BMI Prime 1,4 pomeni, da posameznik tehta 40% ve\u010d, kot bi moral za optimalni ITM. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rohrerjev indeks (indeks telesne debelosti)<\/strong> se uporablja predvsem za otroke in najstnike, saj bolje upo\u0161teva spremembe rasti.
