Zaradi visokih koncentracij <strong>hranilnih snovi<\/strong> in <strong>bioaktivnih spojin<\/strong> velja tudi za <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.si\/superzivila\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">super\u017eivilo<\/a>. V prej\u0161njem stoletju so jo znanstveniki promovirali celo kot vir prehrane za ljudi, ki so se spopadali z lakoto. Danes se o tej vodni algi govori predvsem kot o dopolnilu za <strong>\u010di\u0161\u010denje in razstrupljanje telesa. <\/strong>Najprej so jo za\u010deli pridelovati in u\u017eivati v Aziji, zlasti na Japonskem. V prehranskih dopolnilih se uporabljata dve vrsti &#8211; <em>Chlorella vulgaris<\/em> in <em>Chlorella pyrenoidosa<\/em>.
