The inhabitants of Tokelau island <strong>had been receiving astronomical<\/strong> <strong><a title=\"The nations which had eaten tons of coconut oil, didn't suffer with the heart diseases\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/7270479\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"ek-link\">63% calories<\/a> of<\/strong> <strong>coconut<\/strong>, while neither of them didn&#8217;t show the indications of previous heart attacks at EKG examination. <strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe in this case, it is shown that fats are not the enemy but instead of them, carbohydrates are? WRONG. <strong>Kitavans had been receiving 70% of calories in the form of carbohydrates<\/strong> with low amount of sugar or fruit sugar and starch, while they had <a title=\"The nations which had eaten tons of coconut oil, didn't suffer with the heart diseases\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/10535381\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"ek-link\">low insulin levels<\/a> and <strong>there wasn&#8217;t find out any heart disease. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Are these islanders healthy thanks to the genetics maybe? Physiological context is important and saturated fat from coconut can be very<strong> harmful in one and prosperous in another context.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_PLUS_The_heart_condition_of_the_animals_which_were_feeding_by_refined_coconut_oil_got_better\"><\/span>3) PLUS: The heart condition of the animals which were feeding by refined coconut oil got better<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You won&#8217;t find the studies about the impact of coconut oil on human health<\/strong> which would meet <strong>the special cond<\/strong><strong>itions<\/strong> of the study on the animals: extremely controlled food in laboratory or feeding the rodents with coconut oil for most of their life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In one special <a title=\"Coconut oil experiments\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/11606787\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"ek-link\">experiments with mice<\/a>, refined<strong> coconut oil succeeded better than refined olive oil<\/strong> in relation to protection against hardening of the arteries. However, there was a great objection: another experiment with mice in the same study proved worse results of coconut oil than olive oil. The mice examined for effects of coconut oil, have deleted their LDL receptors, while the other mice have deleted their ApoE proteins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wpstatic.gymbeam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/mageblog\/iStock-867995246.jpg\" alt=\"Coconut oil - super nutrition or super myth\" width=\"843\" height=\"562\" title=\"Coconut oil - super nutrition or super myth\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_MINUS_People_are_not_laboratory_mice\"><\/span>4) MINUS: People are not laboratory mice&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is that <strong>mice are omnivores like we are.<\/strong> The bad news is that we are much different from mice and transmission research faces <a title=\"Coconut oil research\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindawi.com\/journals\/bmri\/2011\/497841\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"ek-link\">many problems.<\/a> There are certain differences. For instance, <strong>people can&#8217;t produce their own vitamin C but mice<\/strong> <em>(and majority of other animals)<\/em> <strong>can.<\/strong> Mice&#8217;s hearts can react <a title=\"Coconut oil research\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jmmc-online.com\/article\/S0022-2828(09)00369-1\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"ek-link\">completely different on medicine<\/a> in contrast to human&#8217;s heart. And when the diseases are examined on mice, we often discard gene in order to study the problem more specifically. The same as the discard of LCL receptor of mice which is mentioned in previous point, where mice are known as mice with inborn LDLR <em>(with low density of lipoprotein receptor)<\/em>. If you are not mice<strong>, the results might not be applicable for you. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_MINUS_Pure_fats_are_usually_worse_for_the_health_of_heart\"><\/span>5) MINUS: Pure fats are usually worse for the health of heart<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Coconut oil<strong> doesn&#8217;t contain some components of coconut cream<\/strong>&nbsp;such as polyphenols, dietary fibre and vitamin E. No one knows how important it is because <strong>these two products are not compared very often.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>But we can enlighten from this analogic example. Fill the empty space in this sentence please:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>&#8220;Coconut oil resembles the coconut cream as &#8230;&#8230; resembles the whipped cream&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The answer is <strong>butter<\/strong> which is the basis of the French cuisine and which Americans are afraid of. The fear is not fully unjustified because <strong>butter has greater negative impact on LDL cholesterol<\/strong> in comparison to whipped cream which has unimportant and small impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to understand why it is so, you have to open your mind and understand, let&#8217;s call it &#8220;matrix&#8221;. In this case, <strong>it is concerned with food matrix<\/strong> which is the membrane of the milk fat which surrounds creamy milk fat, unless it is adjusted to butter. Since it is highly refined, it means it has to be bad, hasn&#8217;t it? Don&#8217;t judge them so quickly because the<strong> second part of the impact on cholesterol is the important note.<\/strong> The first one is mostly the sign of increasing distrust which people have towards the health organizations. However, the overall results <strong>for coconut oil are not clear<\/strong> because it doesn&#8217;t improve triglycerides more than unsaturated sunflower oil.
