When it is exhausted, we should be more prone to temptation and our level of self-control decreases. <strong>According to several studies, the answer to how the brain is recharged, lies in <a href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.com\/dextrose-1000-g-gym-beam.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">glucose<\/a>. <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600\" class=\"tadv-color\">[3]<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Glucose is one of the most important substances that acts as a fuel in the brain.&nbsp;<\/strong>Its daily consumption is about 160g. Most of it is used to drive transmission mechanisms.&nbsp;These affect the membrane potential needed to transmit nerve impulses.&nbsp;<strong>Glucose metabolism allows every part of the brain to perform its functions. <\/strong><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color: #ff6600\">[4]<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Several studies suggest that&nbsp;<strong>self-discipline may be sensitive to glucose fluctuations. <\/strong>In particular, studies mention its low level or inefficient transmission from the body to the brain. Start with little things<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Even the little things can bring a big change over time, which will help you on your way to a strong will. <\/strong>For example, make a rule for yourself to drink a glass of water every day with your breakfast, make your bed or take a half-hour walk. If you succeed, gradually add more little things that can grow into something big over time. <span style=\"color: #ff6600\" class=\"tadv-color\">[10]<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-default\">2. Set your goals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span>Every enthusiasm initially comes with wanting something. We want to have a good figure, we want to&nbsp;<a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.com\/blog\/11-reasons-to-start-running-how-will-it-change-your-body\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">start runnin<\/a><\/span><a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/gymbeam.com\/blog\/11-reasons-to-start-running-how-will-it-change-your-body\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\"><span>g<\/span><\/a><span>, we want more strength and so on.&nbsp;However, just asking for things is not enough.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your goals should be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>measurable and time<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>bound<\/strong>, allowing you to track your progress (for example: in three months I will make ten repetitions of a 50 kg deadlift) <span style=\"color: #ff6600\" class=\"tadv-color\">[7]&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>achievable, whilst maintaining a certain level of difficulty<\/strong> (for example: if you have never run before, it is not realistic to expect to run a marathon in a month) <span style=\"color: #ff6600\" class=\"tadv-color\">[8]<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-default\">3. Try to exercise regularly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the methods to increase self-discipline is regular exercise.&nbsp;This was observed in research from 2006, which <strong>showed a significant improvement in self-discipline in respondents who exercised regularly for two months<\/strong> compared to the group that did not exercise at all. Physical activity included repeated expressions of will, thanks to which the sample of people who did exercise improved their self-discipline.
